Here's a very brief pitch for a story I just created today. I'm usually pretty guarded about my work, but I thought it was time I throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sending it out to Andreas Panagiotopolous as well as posting it here. I'd be grateful to hear from any artist that might be interested in illustrating it, and welcome any and all comments. Thanks guys.

THE FAUSTIANS

The Faustians are a support group for people who have sold their souls to the Devil, Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, or whatever one chooses to call him. Held together by their grief, each tells his or her tale of loss, torment, and share in the anguish of having dealt away their mortal souls.

One evening they are joined by a strange enigmatic figure named Elton Nebis, one of The Prince Of Darkness' latest quarry. Elton quickly becomes fed up with the groups whining and bitching, and refuses to be cast as a victim. Elton proposes to the group a new deal;band together and take on the The Great Deceiver, up close and personal!

I like where this is headed! I've never read any of the Vertigo books with Constantine but this seems related. It'd be cool if each member of the group got some unique powerful 'something' in exchange for their soul that is decent alone but pooling it all together, they can actually take on the Devil. G'luck with it!

Woah, great pitch. Cool idea, and plenty of room for twists! I'm in.

Heh, I like the premise. Take something pretty normal and stick a twist on it. That's the way to do it.

Thanks for the kind words guys!! I see it being as much of a comedy as an action/adventure, with a lot of weird quirky characters thrown in the mix. I figure the group used to meet in a church before the first installment, but it burned to the ground :) so now they meet at the public library. Even the fact that these kinds of groups sit and form a circle plays into the occult aspects, and I'm going to have a blast introducing Satan. :saroll: I like Anthony's idea that they all have powers. I haven't gotten that far, but it's a sweet idea. I'd like to introduce The Faustians in an anthology with maybe 4 or 5 pages in each issue and just build from that point.
