So I need some cash to help fund the summer tour. My LCS said he would display my art and only take a single digit percentage. This is the first. It's a new technique for me, too.
It doesn't scan very well, and I'm usually pretty good at scanning.

Sometimes I see the problem with the leg--sometimes I see it just being how he's bent. I love it though.
I could see you drawing Walking Dead one day.

Ok, here are my toughts:
First of all, I like how you arranged the the lights and shadows.
I love the expression of his face and the claws seem to be going in the same direction as the hands (one of the trickiest things when one draws Wolvie). I really like the way you portrayed the water under Logan but take a look at the leafs and the water on the left, they don´t have any kind of shadows. Now, this looks distracting. My eyes keep going there and I wonder why you didn´t throw some shadows in there instead of looking at Logan, Another suggestion migh be to add som falling leaves and also draw some as if they just hit the water (you know, creating circles in the water). This will give the drawing some sort of "silent movement", if you know what I mean.
Now, about Wolvie: First of all, where is his body hair?
There seems to be some anatomical issues: Check the legs, they don´t seem to be of the same size and his right leg seems to be joining with the waist too high. Check his proportions also, you drew him as if he was as tall as a normal guy, but he should be shorter than most of us (6 or even 5 heads high). Check his right arm, it´s way too long. Also, it seems as if he is wearing something in the chest, since his pectorals should be separated from one another. Also, I would get rid of the shoulder blades, since his right arm is going forward, they should be hiding behind the trapezius (and make this one a little bit bulkier). His left arms seems to be too short in the upper part and too tiny, also. His deltoid is way too short compared to his other arm muscles.
There is a reflection in the upper part of his right leg that shouldn´t be there. Also, check the leg´s widths, they are not the same. The anatomy of the knees and lower part of the legs is way off.
Well, like I said before, these are only my toughts, please donpt take them as a personal attack or something like that. I LOVE what you did with the greytones and I think that this picture is a great start :)

Yeah, Wolvie's got some "anatomical issues". Sometimes it's hard to see these things at first. I need to stare at these things longer.
There actually are shadows under the leaves but I'm having a little trouble scanning the inkwash. I'm losing some of the lighter tones to white.
And the reflection on his leg is from the water.
And he has no hair because I got lazy and couldn't decide on costume, shredded costume, or in the buff.
Thanks for the comments Victor!

How are you scanning it? Color, greyscale or line?
I think it is a very cool looking pic!

I scanned this in color.
Here is a thought from one artist to another.....don't ask for opinions. Why? Because they are like as$@%3&'s and everyone has one. Draw your best and get the person that is paying you to let you know if your art is going to fly. If you draw like crap and Marvel is willing to pay you for it,
ahem!KlausJanson, then go for it. If your editor is not feeling it and you have to step it up then do so. I mean you can't please everyone and one look at the new comics on the rack ought to let you know what you are up against.
I have learned to ignore most people when it comes to my art. Why? Because everyone is different and as I mentioned before, opinions are funny little things.

I don't think it's such a bad thing to ask for opinions, especially if it helps with anatomy and shading. The good thing about opinions is, you can ignore them if you like. ;)

Another tought from artist to artist: It´s not a bad idea to ask for opinions/c&c. Why? because it helps you see some things that you probably wouldn´t see for yourself.
I agree with you that it is virtually impossible to please everyone and that there always will be someone that didn´t like what you do. That is why I don´t encourage artists that post images for opinions to rework their drawings.
Regarding the "if you´re getting paid, then it´s ok" comment, I have my pesonal opinion on the subject wich is the opposite from yours.
And, by the way, I love Dave´s artwork in Scar Tissues and the "Ronin Creators - I need your help" thread.
