Hey Diana!
I know earlier you had a spot left for Ronin Illustrated (volume 2) #1, and I'm just about to start drawing a 5-page crime noir story, written by a friend of mine. If you could reply here, send me a PM, or bug me on MSN, I would really appreciate it.

The current issue is full, the reason I haven't made a post about it is because I'm still waiting for a decision on what pages to post from 2 of the 4 stories (this issue will be a whopper at over 40 pages). We filled that last spot with an 11 page story from the talented "Boo" - R J Easby from the UK.
But the next issue is already open for submissions!

Sounds great!
I'll be sure to submit it then.

What are the requirements to submit? What sort of content/stories? And length?
Cheers!

Hi Bobby! Welcome to Ronin!
Requirements are basically that it has to be a standalone story that's 4 to 10 pages in length. I'm hoping each issue can be about 40 pages. The short stories can also be ones that involve a series that is published under Ronin Studios.
Any genre or content is fine, though if a story with nudity or extreme language is submitted, the other creators with stories in the issue it will go in will be talked to about it to make sure they're okay with it (since the issue would then need a content warning).
Let me know if you need anything :)

Can I just turn in a script or will i need an artist to draw it?
Thanks Diana

Diana,
Is there a timeframe for submitting to the next issue? Thanks.

We do like the creators to choose their own artist, but if you don't have one when you submit you can post about it in the Help Wanted forum. Usually I volunteer to help creators find at least a penciller when they need one, but I've got a lot going on at the moment :(
Diana,

Currently we have 2 or 3 stories that people want to go into #2 and I'm just keeping the submissions ongoing and open. We can always fill the next issue after the one that's in progress but it wouldn't come out before it. The goal currently is to release 1 issue every 3 months, but if we get a lot of stories we can try for every 2 months. Basically if a current issue is full you just have more time to do your story for the next issue :)
Stories submitted go into the issues in order of submission first and completion second. So say story A is submitted and story B after it, but story B is finished first and story A is nowhere near ready and the issue just needs that one story.... then it would be bumped as long as the creator of A was okay with that.

Sounds like a good way of handling it to me. Thanks for the info.:)

A little update here... #2 has 4 stories signed up that are either already completed, or just being started... it looks to be about a 36 page issue but we can probably do an even larger issue (44 pages) with one more story in it.
Eric, you're #5 on the list, so if you want to get your story started, I need a title so I can put it on the list and not accidentally miss it ^_^;;
Also, it depends on if the stories slated for it are completed on time of course. We're aiming to complete #2 for April 15th so that it can be at ComixPress for May.

My story's called "Cold Night/Dark Night", and it's only 4 pages, so it should fit in there okay. :P

Ah okay... hmm if we don't put in the CP/Ronin ad we'd be right at 40 pages for #2 then. I've put your title in the folder for that issue.
